Yesterday Tim Linhart welcomed Charlie Sexton and Austin musicians together with the child quire and the musicians from Norrbotten.
Finally the whole team are gathered in the house full of songs. Musicians from Luleå, Pajala, Copenhagen and Austin Texas are carefully hand picked for this workshop by the founder of the house of songs Troy Campbell. The workshop leaders, Troy and Michael Blair work together with Olle Nyman Luleå, Rebecka Digerwall Pajala, Anders Bo Eriksen Copenhagen, Liondsey Verrill Austin, Phoebe Hunt Austin and Charlie Sexton.
– The main reason to make a workshop like this is to challenge everyone´s habits, says Michael Blair. What we normally do is fun and interesting, everyone is creative and has experience as songwriters and performers. But with The House of Songs events, we encourage the participants to explore their new environment. In this case we are very lucky to enter the world of Ice Music concert hall and the unique ice instruments.
The workshop group work intensively every day and night, in a week they will create new ice music.

The result will be performed in the Ice concert hall this weekend, 27th and 28th of February – The cities of songs.
